Twiggywinkle Baby Boutique

Twiggywinkle Baby Boutique and Children's Interiors

My inspiration for opening the shop came primarily after a stint of living in London where I discovered many of the UK fabric houses doing fantastic children's collections. Notably Designers Guild, Jane Churchill and Liberty. Upon my return home I realised that there were not any children's boutiques using these fabrics and focussing on children's interiors. I had also supplied Georges ( Melbourne Shopping Emporium ) for over ten years, from the age of 15, with hand embroidered baby wear and blankets, so I thought to combine the two lines of baby wear and children's interiors to create Twiggywinkle.

Twiggywinkle opened it's doors in October 1992.
